Overview of the CCMCertification Program Prerequisites

Contemporary Cupping Methods takes Cupping Therapy to a whole new level.

Our Graduates are using the methods they've acquired from the CCM Certification Program in Hospitals, Post-Surgical Facilities, Burn Centers, Medical Clinics, Wellness Resorts, Rejuvenation Centers, High End Spas, Retirement Communities, Cruise Ships, Private Practices, Addiction Rehab Facilities, Home Services and much more.

The Educators who teach this workshop have been contracted by many high-end establishments like Mandarin Spas and the Phoenician, Advanced Holistic Institutes, Massages Schools, Universities such as Grand Canyon University and Georgia Southern and numerous privately owned clinics and spas all over the world to teach these methods to their staff members and students.

The Contemporary Cupping Methods curriculum is extraordinarily comprehensive in content and will teach the Healthcare Practitioner a variety of techniques, in a myriad of applications - individually and with multiple cups to address various locations and issues. More than 50% of the workshop is spent in hands-on lab exchange where each practitioner provides and receives 24 treatments under the close supervision of the Instructors.

As Therapists, we've all wished we had more than one set of hands to get more work done in less time and with less strain – with Cupping, you will - and we will show you how.

You'll walk away from these 3 intensive days with the skills that will broaden your practice in ways that will amaze you and you'll feel fully prepared moving forward to do it.

Now here's the kicker - not only are you learning the how to, you are also receiving these 24 treatments. The value of the therapy and the aftereffects are worth the cost of the training alone!
But please be forewarned - - the detoxifying effects of the suction will draw poisons out of your body so to fully take advantage of the treaments and the training by making sure you are well hydrated to fill the void the suction and elimination will induce.

Methods you will learn about in Class:

Dynamic Cupping Massage Cupping Stationary Cupping
Biomagnetic Cupping Intermittent Cupping Flash Cupping
Aquatic Cupping Facial Cupping Belly Cupping
Wet Cupping Sports Cupping Herbal Cupping
Orthopedic Cupping Chinese Cupping Water Cupping

Due to venue logistics and facilities some methods covered in the ICTA certification program cannot be performed in demonstation and lab

Health Professionals are rediscovering this ancient, amazingly effective therapy and using it to treat their clients and achieve effects that are cumulative, long lasting and many therapists report their results as being "miraculous".

Cupping is an incredible modality that among many other benefits - increases circulation, relaxes soft tissue and support, draws stagnation, pathogenic agents and toxins out of the body and releases a myriad of pain causing factors. Myofascia Release, Lymphatic Drainage and Detoxification are only 3 of the therapeutic outcomes produced during a proper Cupping Treatment.

Another valuable asset regarding Cupping is that it feels great. The pulling action engages the parasympathetic nervous system, thus allowing a deep relaxation to move through the entire body. It is not unusual to fall asleep when receiving this treatment. Clients are surprised at how relaxed, warm and light they feel – hours... usually even days afterwards.

The added bonus is the reduced wear and tear to the practitioner. THIS IS HUGE.
The physical repetitive activity is tough on the Professional Bodyworker - tools used in Cupping greatly increase the practitioners’ comfort and physical longevity - thus extending the lifespan of the therapists' career exponentially. This fact alone merits attention from every single Bodyworker.

“This was without a doubt the very best training we've experienced in the UK or Europe.

We travel and take many different healthcare seminars all over the UK and in Europe (even several in China and Thailand) and this has been the most valuble, interactive and information rich curriculums we've ever experienced - please come back to the UK with more ICTA seminars!!"

Dr. Renne Tallman, London, UK

“Five years ago, I suffered a serious soft tissue injury to the anterior and middle deltoids, and decided on acupuncture in the initial stages because of the extreme inflammation, followed by massage therapy on weekly basis for twelve months. While my shoulder made great improvement, I was still aware of discomfort and immobility. Also, as is often the case, the ramifications for the surrounding broad region of soft tissue were profound. There remained blockages and tightness throughout the pectoral muscle, latissimus dorsi and intercostal region, as well as tightness, trigger points and deep-seated pain throughout the arm of the affected side.

Using new Cupping Methods developed in the Contemporary Cupping Methods - made possible by the EarthSpa Baguanfa Cups - after four treatments, these symptoms which hung on so tenaciously, have all been thoroughly released. I now have complete movement with all pain syndromes resolved. I think this is a notable development in the contemporary era of cupping therapy and I am really excited about the benefits that this treatment will bring to many clients. Furthermore, I have been treating many people with long term soft tissue pain with these new cupping adaptations and the results have been rapid and excellent.

We have based our Modern Cupping Therapy and Advanced Certificate in Integrated Cupping Therapy classes we teach in Australia on the Contemporary Cupping Methods Certification Programme.”

Dr Bruce Bentley, Sydney, Australia

"Content and Presentation were Excellent. Very informative & the information was laid out clearly - it definitely keep me interested & engaged during the 3 days - I've already signed up fot the advanced workshops - can't wait!"
~ Sandra Lory - Portland, Maine

"I have taken approximately 500 hours of CEU's and this was among the best, if not the best I have ever taken. So much info! So much potential for use in practice!"
~ Stef Dwyer, Health and Wellness Coach

"I've taken dozens of CEU classes and now that our State requires it, I am always looking for a class that's worth the time and money. This class floored me - it is the best class I have ever taken. I learned more in 3 days in the CCM workshop than in weeks of other classes and I am telling every therapist I know."
~ Brandy Lewis, LMT, AUP

"The instructor used every form of learning - I think no matter who you are, where you come from & what you've heard in the past you will definitely walk away comfortable in new knowledge & passion."
~ Jack Dreyden, RMT, RN

"This workshop far exceeds the standards for which other classes meet. I cannot express my excitment and thrill at the potentials that have opened up for my practice, truly a blessing - THANK YOU more than I can say!!"
~ Abigail Truman LAc, DC, OT

"YOUR course hands down has been the BEST CEU I have taken. The impact of the treatments has really made a difference in my practice. I am looking forward to taking your courses again in the future. Two of the Massage Therapists in my office are thinking about the course for themselves as I have highly recommended it."
~ Jane Kaufman, LAc., LMT

We can provide private, onsite training of our workshops.

Here's your opportunity to bring our workshops to your facility without requiring the travel and logistics necessary to attend one of our regularly schedule workshops.  The pricing model is based on up to 8 students for a fixed, base rate; which declines for 9-12 students and again for 13-18 students.

Please have a few options for specific dates as this will assist in coordinating schedules to see when one of our instructors is available.

Contact workshops@cuppingtherapy.org to arrange for a private onsite training consultation!

If you refer someone to our Contemporary Cupping Methods (CCM) workshop (and they register,  pay in full and attend) we will email you a $25.00 gift certificate for  the ICTA and EarthSpa R&D!

Simply send an email with the subject line GIFT CERTIFICATE to info@cuppingtherapy.org with your name and the name and email address of the person you are referring, before their scheduled workshop.  If they sign up and pay in full, after they attend the CCM workshop, we will email you your gift certificate.

We will not honor claims made of referrals post training, so make sure to contact us PRIOR to the workshop date your friend or colleague is taking! ~ ~ info@cuppingtherapy.org ~ ~

The certificate can be used as a credit towards equipment purchase or tuition for a workshop (the order must be placed by telephone at 425-999-2225 in order to calculate your discount).  All shipping and handling costs remain your responsibility (we still have to pay the post office!).   The gift certificate must be used by 1 year after it is issued (the date we receive the referral via email and the gift certificate number is assigned).

The instructor will decide the venue about 3 - 4 weeks in advance of the workshop based on how many are on their roster. ICTA's objective is not for secrecy, but for the privacy and security of those attending.

Because our workshops are practitioner-exchange based and require a massage table and setup for every 2 students, we need to contract for an appropriately sized space.

As soon as the instructor knows they will let everyone on their roster know via email.

Locations are based on the Greater Metropolitan Region.
In other words, as with all seminars provided by professional accredited education providers, although the location listed may be the most recognizable city, the actual location may not in the city proper - but somewhere in that citys' Metropolitan Region. This allows for more flexibility and keeps prices lower, easier logistical access and usually complimenetary parking and other benefits to the students.

Additionally our instructors are usually coming in from out of town, so they are equally sensitive to placing the workshop in a location that is as convenient as possible.
